Carey Thanksgiving 2010

It was a fun Thanksgiving this year.  :)  We gorged ourselves on the yummy food that is only available in Michigan. ;-)  Here are some snapshots of our trip.

Peace, love and all-the-fixins,
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam

In Grandma Pam's sleds, practicing for the big white stuff.

Mom joined us at the Careys' this year for dinner.  We had dinner with the Lawson crew over at Aunt Linda and Uncle Danny's earlier in the day.  Tracy and Tim had also eaten somewhere previously, as well.

Ava and her Grandpa Carey.

Doug proposed to me in this very room.  :)

Tim and Tracy with a lambie...a gift from Grandma Carey's friend Donna.

Grandma and Grandpa were picture-ready in their festive red sweaters.

The two hams (or are they turkeys?)  :)

A Lawson Thanksgiving & Gingerbread Houses

Our Thanksgiving holiday festivities this year included a trip to Uncle Danny and Aunt Linda's for Thanksgiving Day dinner, the construction of some gingerbread houses and a gingerbread train and hanging out at Grammy's house.  Here are some pictures of the fun!

Jordan:  A gingerbread engineer.

We take gingerbread house-making seriously.

"You should use a gum drop, not a Twizzler!" he says...

Hangin' Out in the Hood

Weather permitting, we're always hanging out in the cul-de-sac with neighbors.

Matthew Quinn is just over two years older than Ava.  He is also a March baby.  Liam seems to look-up to Matthew, taking note of all things "boy".

Here are some pictures from this November, while we were enjoying the cooler weather.

Peace, love and neighborly folk,
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam
