Uncle Tim and Aunt Tracy Visit Georgia

Recently Tim and Tracy came down for a visit to Atlanta. Tim had a cardiology conference and thought they would make a trip out of it. We were so glad they did!

We decided to go to the Georgia Aquarium while they were here. We got a reservation for the aquarium and walked around Centennial Park in the meantime. We saw some Budweiser Clydesdale horses and the fountain in the park. Ava got her face painted while Liam slept through most of the aquarium. Tim and Tracy touched the sea rays and a shark. They said they felt like mushrooms. Ewww! (I still can't bring myself to touch them...)

We were also able to go to Agatha's Dinner Theater and see Ben Folds at the Tabernacle. Agatha's was fun! The show was a spoof of the Twilight series. Doug had the role of Cajun Larry. Tim was a werewolf. Tracy and I were part of the "Ungrateful Dead" singers. :-) It was an interesting experience... there were some (ahem) fellow patrons who added to the interest factor of this experience....Just ask Doug or myself. :-) Ben Folds was amazing, as well. The Tabernacle is a pretty intimate venue. Just Ben Folds and his piano. Pretty cool.

Ava was shy around Uncle Tim, but when he wasn't there, she would ask when we were going to see Uncle Tim (and that it was "taking a long time to see Uncle Tim"). Tim did double-duty, going to cardiology conferences and hanging-out with us in his spare time. Ava really seemed to bond with Aunt Tracy. Tracy was ready for our night out to Agatha's / Ben Folds and sitting on the couch, when Ava just laid her head on Aunt Tracy's lap on a pillow. :')

I had to work on Monday, but Doug went with the kids, Tim and Tracy down to the Varsity. Poor Tim gave up most meat (beef) for Lent, so he didn't get to have a dog. ("What'll ya have?")

Here are some pictures from their visit with us. We miss you guys!

Outside of the Georgia World Congress Center while Tim checked into his cardiology conference. The kids enjoyed running around on the lawn there.

Hmm... feels like a portobello mushroom?
