Garden 2010

Dinner plate dahlias.  These grow so huge, they had to be staked.  Even with the stakes, they tend to fall over.  They are SUCH pretty flowers, though!

Poison ivy exposure. :(  I think I have had three bouts of it this year!)  I guess that's what I get for cleaning out a brushy, untouched area of the yard / our neighbor's yard...

The culprit... See the shiny leaves?  This is DEFINITELY poison ivy.  Once you touch it, if you don't wash it off within (a maximum of) 15 minutes, the oil on your clothes, skin may cause an allergic reaction.

Jalapeno peppers

Our crepe myrtles near our mailbox.

Ava's choice in flowers.  I think the combination of the two actually look GREAT together!

A dinner plate dahlia.  I love the way they look when they first start opening up, one petal at a time.  They look almost pixie-like!

Peace, love and the green stuff,
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam
