Ava Reads!

Ava finished her reading assignment for the month of September.  After school today we read for an hour, which allowed her to fill-in four pencils.  She is anxious to turn it in tomorrow.  She mentioned that there haven't been any other students in her class who have completed the assignment. 

Among Ava's favorites are "Green Eggs and Ham", "Hop on Pop" and "Go Dog, Go!"  I wanted to take a few pictures with my phone and she asked if I would take a video of her reading.  :)

Ava's "Me Bag" for School

Last week Ava came home with a little homework.  She had to put things in a brown paper bag, to show at school.  The bag had to include one item for each of the following categories:

• A picture of herself
• Something she loves
• Something that makes her proud
• Something that makes her happy
• Something that is her favorite color

 This is a picture of Ava, taken about a month ago.

She LOVES collecting special stones and gems in her fancy Easter egg. 

It makes Ava PROUD when she makes a basket in the basketball goal.

Ava said she was also PROUD of this cat, that she painted / they fired at a local pottery place.

She is HAPPY when Daddy comes home from work.  This is a picture of Ava greeting Daddy as he gets out of his truck.  :)

This is a picture of our house, when Daddy comes home every day.

She included a little pink teddy bear, which was an item of her favorite color.
