Liam Lately

I took a few of these pictures with my phone one day, on the way to day care.  Liam's teacher needed a close-up shot of his face for a craft they were doing, thus the multiple pictures.  He is 100% sweetness.  I love him so.  :)

Halloween at Lighthouse Academy

Liam's school had a "Harvest Celebration" on Halloween.  They were asked to keep their outfits positive... I guess there might've been too many Scream costumes in the four year-old room?  I kid, I kid.  They probably didn't want any of the kids wearing something that might scare another kid, I assume.

I made some rice krispies and tried to use store icing to write the words "Happy Halloween" on top.  I added some candy corn and pumpkins around the perimeter.  I think I will probably pass on this particular icing next time...  With all of the little divots and bumps, it looked spooky, but I suppose that's fine for this holiday!

There's that smile!!!

Finally a picture of the whole outfit, minus a few tools

A picture of Liam's class buddies who wore their costumes

Miss Myra wanted a picture of my Rice Krispy treats.  She is so sweet!

Liam at School

Wow, I wish I could be in the running for this award? :)
Liam still takes a great nap every day.
Ava stopped napping at 29 months, when Liam came home from the hospital.

I love this one.  :-)

Liam has been going to school with quite a few of the same kids since he was born.
Frankie and Ben seem to be his best friends at school.
They did a craft where they sent messages to each other in a (plastic) bottle.
Ben sent a message to Liam:

The message was too sweet.

Peace, love and manly BFF's,

Siblings

Although they're often moving too fast for the phone in my camera to catch a "quality" image, these are definitely worth sharing.  :-)

Big Boy Underwear

So Liam is Mr. Independent these days.  We normally help him put his underwear back on / pull it up after he uses the bathroom.  Not this morning, as you can see...Here's to hoping Liam's future wife sees these pictures 25 years from now and gets a BIG chuckle out of these pictures...

Liam Donuts

Donuts are special treats around our house.  On Saturdays, for an extra special treat, we might hop into the mini-van, still in our jammies, and run through the Dunkin Donuts drive-through for some donuts.
This is a typical picture of a donut, after Liam has had his way with it.  As you can see, he doesn’t prefer the cakey part, but does seem to like frosting…

Peace, love and icing on top,

Baseball Day

The teacher in Liam's "new" class at school has really taken the "theme" of the week and ran with it.  I love this!  Every Friday, they seem to have a different theme.  They ask the kids to come in dressed up based on the theme.  A few Fridays ago they had Baseball Day.  Thankfully we've received some hand-me-down clothes from our local baseball star, Matthew Quinn.  :-)

Here are some pictures of Ava and Liam before they headed into school.  Liam was the only kiddo in full baseball gear, including baseball pants.

We picked Ava and Liam up from school and headed to Michigan after a quick change out of the baseball uniform.  :)

Peace, love and "Play Ball!"

Liam's 3rd Birthday Festivities

When Liam went to school on his birthday, his entire class had made a nice birthday banner and displayed it outside of their classroom. Too sweet!  He had a great day that day.  I sent in some Cars cupcakes for his class, for an afternoon treat.

This year, Liam requested to have his birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.  We obliged.  Honestly, I think if you have a party at your house, it is JUST as expensive by the time everyone is fed, etc.  Chuck E. Cheese sounded like the ticket, to us.  We planned his party for a Friday night, thinking more people would be able to attend.  Fortunately, everyone was able to make it (with exception to our neighbors the Arnolds – Jason works afternoons).
Because we opted to have the party on a Friday, we received 100 extra tokens.  Wahoo for that!  I bought a Cars themed cake from Publix (which wasn’t cheap! Gulp.).  We had pizza, a veggie tray and the cake.  Liam had so much fun!  The kids played and played on the token rides and in the tunnels.  Liam didn’t really know what to think when we were all singing “Happy Birthday” to him.  The Chuck E. Cheese party assistant put the inflatable crown on Liam.  Liam immediately took it off and dropped it on the floor.  Ha ha!  Ava took Liam’s place in the machine where tickets blow around and you have to catch them.
We didn't invite school friends (from day care), as they have an all-or-nothing policy...(If you invite one of his classmates, you should invite them all).  It was nice to connect with everyone (as always) for Liam’s birthday.  Liam was in seventh heaven with all of the boy-friendly gifts he received, as well.
Party attendees included:
  • Scarlett (Matthew and Kate Celender)
  • Wyatt (Alicia Stryker)
  • Matthew (Carine Quinn)
  • Ryan-Ashton (Anna Fletcher)
  • Kylyn (Anna Fletcher)
  • Mekhi (Mark and Amy Hoffman)
  • Alana (Melissa Baillairge)
  • Olivia (Tony and Elaine Rosas)
  • Nico (Tony and Elaine Rosas
  • Jay and Sarah Collins
  • Wes and Oksana Waugh
It was fun, guys!  Thanks for coming and celebrating Liam's birthday with us!
Peace, love and Monsieur Charles E. Fromage,
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam
