Liam: February 2010 & 18 month pictures

Liam, rocking out on Ava's pink guitar :)

Just woke up.

Sleepy.

He looks so grown up to me in this picture!

Mischievous?

I just kept snapping pictures here. A few of these are some of my favorites of him, to date.  These were actually taken in January, when Liam would've officially been 18 months.

He could make Kate Gosselin jealous with this 'do...

Ava: February 2010

A few pictures of Ava. I thought this first one was hilarious. This is the outfit of her choice: shorts, snowboots, a snow hat and a huge t-shirt. :-) She's really been into hats lately. She likes to wear her pink Atlanta Braves hat quite a bit.

She is playing a Leapfrog game (on a keyboard) in front of the television. To watch her play this game is amazing... I can't believe she knows how to use a keyboard and a mouse at three years old! (Especially considering I was the kid in class that, if touching a computer, was somehow breaking it or hitting the wrong button, in FIFTH grade!)

Valentine's 2010

This year for Valentine's, we decided to make our own super-huge heart-shaped cookies. I baked one cookie for each of the kids to decorate. Ava opted for lots of pink and purple sprinkles. She wanted me to put some frosting on the edge of her cookie (which was seriously so dry and hard to pipe out - I shouldn't have used it). We had great fun. The kids enjoyed licking the frosting more than anything, I think. Liam's cookie had quite a few claw marks on his, as you will see below. ;-)

The evidence is pretty obvious on his face. :-)

Ava, excited about decorating her cookie.

Liam's cookie.

Ava's cookie (with a little help from Mom). She would endlessly decorate this cookie, if I didn't wrap it up with her. We even used color-spray, too!

Alana's 3rd Birthday Party

Ava's buddy Alana Baillairge turned three on February 13. She invited us to her birthday party, to be held at an inflatable jumpy place in Roswell.

The night before her party, it snowed more than I've ever seen in Georgia. Some of the pictures of snow previously posted to the blog were taken this morning, before we drove to Alana's party. On the way there, we saw 17+ cars spun out or deserted on the side of the road, due to the weather. Fortunately the snow started melting the morning of Alana's party.

Here are some pictures of the fun festivities, and the birthday girl!

Daddy Daughter Date

Ava and Daddy recently went out for a Daddy / Daughter date. We asked Ava if she wanted to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" or "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" movie. She chose "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs".

When I asked Ava what she wanted to wear for the big date, she said she wanted to wear a dress. (Keep in mind that this movie is showing at the dollar theater. ;-) So, she picked out her dress and some tights. Ava then wanted to pick out Doug's clothes for their date. At first, she chose a suit for him to wear. When I mentioned that Daddy might not be comfortable sitting in a suit for that long, she agreed. Instead she picked a tie for him to wear. :-) Doug being the sport that he is, decided to wear whatever she picked. Ava seemed very proud of her choices in attire for herself and her Daddy. :-)

The movie was a big hit, too! Here are some pictures of their big night out:

I told Doug I HAD to get a picture of him in the outfit Ava picked:
