Doug's older brother Joe and his wife Kristy had their baby yesterday in Phoenix, Arizona. The baby's gender was unknown until the birth, which added to the fun surprise.Madeline Grace Carey was born on 10/27/06 at 7:31 am. She is 7 pounds 15 oz and is 20 inches long. Both she and Mommy are doing great. Kristy did great with labor, from what Joe said. Per Joe, Madeline had a little bruising and swelling on her face because she came out so fast, but after a few hours, the swelling was gone.
Joe is staying busy looking after Madeline's older sister, Trinity, when he isn't at the hospital. Big sister Trinity should be meeting her new little sister today! Madeline and Kristy are expected to come home Saturday, 10/28.
