Liam is growing like a weed! Today I took him to the doctor for his "well baby / two month appointment". He weighed in at 14.3 lbs and is over 24 inches long. He's in the 95th percentile for height and weight. (I'm not surprised... I think I seriously need a visit to the chiropractor after carrying him in his car seat!)
While at the appointment, it was Liam's chow time. The doctor asked what was in his bottle and seemed surprised that it wasn't formula (she was surprised at the viscosity, I'll leave it at that...). The kid eats and eats well! She said that he's not eating too much (nor too little) for his size. Right now he eats anywhere from 140-200 cc's per feeding. I told her I was going to start calling him "Bam Bam".

He does "technically" sleep through the night now, and has for a few weeks (2 1/2 weeks, maybe?). His last feeding of the day is at 11:30 p.m. He then sleeps until 6:00 a.m., when we wake him up for his first feeding. It's nice to finally not be getting up at 4:00 a.m.!
The doctor said he is very advanced for his age, doing things expected of 3-4 month old babies. He can hold his head up really well. She said he is close to sitting up on his own, too. (He LOVES his bouncy seat, which hangs in our door frame). Of course Ava had to visit the bathroom while we were at the doc, so the doc did Liam's exam while Ava and I were gone... The doc said that Liam was smiling, laughing, talking and cooing at her, while we weren't there.
Poor little guy... He had THREE immunization shots today. He hated each one of them. The nurse commented that he is one strong kid, as he moved his leg right before she gave him one of the shots.
The last two nights Liam has cried quite a bit before his bedtime. The doctor said he has acid-reflux. That didn't even cross my mind! I thought it might be attributed to teething or an earache, but was stumped because he wasn't grabbing his ear... I knew he didn't like laying on his back very much, but never thought it could be due to acid reflux. So, Liam is now taking the same prescription I took while I was pregnant with him. The doctor said that acid-reflux rears it's ugly head right around this time, and disappears around six months of age. So, I'm hoping he has an easier time going to sleep tonight. And I thought he just didn't like his pack-and-play! :-0
I can't believe how much he laughs, grins and talks. He is QUITE the avid talker! I need to take more video and put it on the blog soon. Until then!
Peace, love and the next clothes size up!
