On Wednesday, March 2nd, Doug got braces for the second time. This time around, he has them on the top and bottom teeth. He was pretty bummed that he had to get them, but was glad after March 2nd, as he knew he was then closer to having them taken off. He should have them for two years.
Most of his top teeth overlap his bottom teeth, when he bites down (per the dentist). Top teeth are supposed to overlap the bottom teeth, but not completely. If he didn't correct the problem with braces, his front teeth would wear away. The orthodontist also filled some of his back teeth up more, so that his bite will be more open.
He's already bummed that he can't have tortilla chips, has a tough time eating roast-like dishes. He's on the road to having them taken off, though.
