Alana Baillairge had a half-birthday party on August 20th at Whitewater waterpark in Marietta. We were originally scheduled to go to Disney with the Baillairges around the time of Alana's birthday, but due to illness in their household, they couldn't go. So, we made sure to bring a princess back for Alana. Because her birthday is in February, what better excuse to go to Whitewater than for a half-birthday party?
We had a blast that day. We got to use our season passes. Ava and Liam both enjoyed the lazy river, as well as the splash pad area, wave pool and the treehouse / water slides. The water slide area is actually for kids seven years and up, but that doesn't stop Liam from enjoying them! Ava has previously been a bit uncomfortable in the lazy river, but SERIOUSLY enjoyed it this time, asking to go on it again.
We left the park and had a fun picnic just outside the gate, complete with cupcakes and snacks. After singing "Happy Half Birthday" to Alana, we ventured back into the park for more fun.
Liam got a little cranky, which I knew was due to an impending nap. Once Ava ran into the wave pool, I sat down in a lounge chair. Liam crawled up into my lap and slept for the remainder of our stay at Whitewater. :-)
Peace, love and water fun!
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam
