As stated in a previous post, I don't think our sub-division sign represents our sub very well. The sign itself has needed some serious work for quite some time. No one has accepted responsibility of keeping up with the weeds, etc. Doug actually has drawn up plans to replace the country-western sign with something more up-to-date. We're working out the details with Doug's contact, to finalize the plans.
I got a wild hair and decided to get some plants for the entrance. I had to remove quite a bit of grass to create a planting area first, but think it looks SO much better now!
These plants should look nice in the Spring or Fall. Everyone seems to appreciate the work that went into planting everything. And they're willing to reimburse, which is always bonus!
Peace, love and sprucing up the place,
Shelly, Doug, Ava and Liam
Cannas in the back (from which red flowers will bloom), Autumn Embers Encore azaleas (which will bloom twice a year with red flowers), Autumn Fire Sedum (which will turn from green to red in Fall), Creeping Jenny (which is chartreuse and will spread / make a nice ground cover).
