Can you have both? I have officially come to the conclusion that you can't continue to be uber-cool after kids come along.
This isn't a bad thing, kids simply provide an opportunity for a "reality check" to occur. Instead of talking about the coolest new gadget / electronic / CD / clothes / shoes / furniture / car you bought, you end up talking about the consistency of your little one's last diaper, what milestone they've achieved, how many teaspoons of vomit comprised the last "spit up" session,the extent of their last "bump" on their head, etc. :(
I will still continue on with my quest to be the coolest Mom this side of the Mississippi. Until then, the diaper conversations are essential...
