Happy Halloween from the Careys!

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year!

Ava was a bat-ballerina. (She picked this costume out herself). Liam was a cowboy. Both were too sweet!

We took the kids to The Avenue (a nearby outdoor shopping center) where they tricked-and-treated their way through many different shops. We took one of our all-time favorite pictures of Liam at The Avenue, while he was standing next to a guy on stilts dressed-up as a cowboy. Being that Liam was also dressed up as a cowboy, he looked up at the guy on stilts as if to say "Are you my Daddy?" :-)

We also took a picture of Ava and Liam on the front steps that is an absolute keeper, with Ava kissing Liam. We then took them to the trunk-or-treat at their day care (at a church). The next day we went to the trunk-or-treat at our own church. It was probably in the high 70's that day... Crazy weather for late October, but we enjoyed it!

This age with both kids has been so much fun. Ava really seems to relish celebrating the holidays, and Liam goes right along with anything, so we just have an amazing time celebrating. :-)

We went to a local pumpkin patch where Ava picked out a pumpkin and I picked-out one additional pumpkin. I cleaned them out and Doug (the resident master carver) carved them up. We went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, as well, on Halloween night with our neighbors Matthew and Olivia. Ava really got into it and ran up to each house and yelled trick-or-treat. She didn't let the cold stop her! What was even better? She didn't really insist on too many of the treats, thankfully.

Peace, love, bat-girls and cowboys, Shelly

Here is a Jib Jab video of our family for Halloween... I pity the fool who runs across this werewolf! :-)
